Frequently asked questions

What inflation rate should I use?

Use your country's long-run average: roughly 5–6% for India, 2–3% for the US, UK and Europe.

Is the 25× rule enough?

Saving 25 times your yearly expenses (the 4% rule) is a common starting point, but early retirees and those in high-inflation countries may need more.
